San Salvador is the capital city of El Salvador. It is a developing, urbanized metropolis and is the center of operations for many businesses in El Salvador. Several million people reside in San Salvador.
The diet in El Salvador is made up of many incredible dishes but the most famous is pupusas, corn or rice tortillas filled with cheese, beans, meat. Tropical fruits are available year round as well as fresh seafood. Rice, beans and tortillas are staple foods in the Salvadoran diet.
El Salvador has two seasons, rainy and dry season, which they call Summer and Winter. The rainy season begins around April and ends in November/December. During the rainy season it’s normal for it to rain everyday.
The predominant relgion in El Salvador is Catholicism.
Salvadorans are known for their warm hospitality. The people are friendly and welcoming to everyone they meet. It’s normal, especially in rural areas, to be invited into someone’s home even if they’re just meeting you for the first time. Salvadorans are hard-working and proud of their country also known as “El Pulgarcito.”
Tourism has grown over the last several years as the government has stabilized and bitcoin has become a national currency. El Salvador, famous for it’s waves has long welcomed crowds in search of good waves.
